In reply to Wendy S. That's a good idea, I can do some research on that for you. In the mean time perhaps you could call some community centres and see? gardening would be casual and easy for a 5 yo old. Soup kitchens during the winter months would also be a good one.I'd focus on 30 minute stints and ones where it's a casual environment. Let me know if you find anything super fun as well!

Do you know of any downtown Toronto programs we can volunteer with young kids? My daughter is going to be 5 soon and I’d like to do something with her.
