You can most certainly pack as much liquids as you want in your checked luggage, no issues there at all.

Going on 17-day China / Hong Kong vacation in August with two different domestic carriers between among all the cities. I was trying to get more definitive info about packed liquids with checked or carryon luggage. I’ve been getting conflicting info. We want to pack enough toiletries, yet they’ll all be contained in small travel sizes. We don’t necessarily need them onboard with us for 1-3 hour flights, but I’m confused about whether you can pack them in checked luggage.

I very much enjoyed reading your post here. I have never been on China Eastern airlines, however will be going to this summer when I go from NY to Shanghai. Having been on a Chinese airline before (China Southern), some stuff that you mentioned I definitely was able to relate to, such as multiple times on various flights flight attendants telling me I could not use my phone even though I set it on airplane mode haha. The adult meal of noodles was a shock to me, they should work on that!

Also, I just wanted to point out that when you and your children were boarding the Toronto to Shanghai aircraft, one of the flight attendants/passengers said “Hao Ke Ai,” which means “very adorable” in Chinese (suggesting your children). Not sure if you knew that.
