T’was the night before Christmas Eve…

IMG_1545 (Custom)We’re here in Cape Breton with the hubs’ side of the family and I thought I had all my shopping done…except that I forgot about the wee ones. I know! Who forgets the little ones during the Christmas season? I didn’t forget them completely but I still needed to pick a few things up for  Little Monkey, Baby Boy and their two little cousins. The hubs and I figured we could easily do a Target run once we got into Cape Breton-shopping right before Christmas, totally smart…right?!

Disclosure : I am part of the Target Canada Campaign with She’s Connected and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog, as always, are totally my own.

IMG_1502 (Custom)Over the summer I had found the best deals at the Target here in Sydney, Nova Scotia so I was getting excited for our pre-Christmas spree. Shopping right before Chistmas Eve is most definitely NOT something I’d battle against in bustling Toronto but the hubs and I were optimistic about a relatively relaxing shopping excursion in Cape Breton. Little Monkey joined us for our quick Target run whilst Baby Boy was at  home with his Grand Parents, We did see some grumpy folks trolling through the aisles but the staff were friendly as ever and happy to guide us to our aisles.

I didn’t find as many items as I was hoping for in the clothes department (remember this dress? That was from target!). However Little Monkey did pick up a gift for Baby Boy and she found a couple items for her cousins as well. I unfortunately didn’t find matching PJs for the four of them (with ages ranging from 11 months to 3.5 years that’s a tall order!) however I did find the cutest matching dresses for Little Monkey and her baby cousin. How adorable are they? My sis in law is not a fan of pink so this lacy purple was a hit with her too. Little Monkey was eager to wear her dress and she gifted it to her Little Cousin this morning. Their grand mother has bought a whole slew of red Christmas day outfits for them all (Grandma loves Target too!) so it’s going to be a red Christmas day here.

Target Canada, Girls DressesShopping right before Christmas Eve was a pleasant experience (surprisingly!) and I can always trust Target to deliver the cutest dresses for girls. Have you seen their newborn dresses? Check out Little Miss Kate’s Baby Roo in the most adorable newborn dress. SO FESTIVE!

What are your little ones prancing around in today? Is it bad that I may hit the local mall today? Not for presents but I forgot to pack enough tops for our trip. Doh!
