Last night the four of us popped by one of our local haunts, Bangkok Garden, for dinner during their celebration of the Festival of Lights. Loi Krathong is celebrated annually in Thailand (and parts of Burma too I believe) on the evening of the full moon during the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar. This year, that fell on November 6th and Bangkok Garden hosted Bangkok Nights where guests purchased tickets ($30) to attend an evening filled with street food and delicious drinks. As always I enjoyed my spicy Tom Yum Siam cocktail (a Lychee & rum combo) and sampled an array of dishes. Little Monkey ate an entire tub of Pad Thai (total win) before a full on meltdown during our exit ( I told her we got kicked out because she cried – never miss an opportunity to teach them ;)). Baby Boy charmed the ladies in his cool dude outfit and ate everything that came in sight! I love his new ‘leather’ jacket. I couldn’t help but buy it when when I was grocery shopping.
