Okay okay I know it’s ONLY November but for those of us who LUUUUURVE the Christmas holidays, November is “Deck the Halls” month. While I may not be “allowed” to start going full force, I have been sneaking in some decorations and getting an early start. For today’s Fashion Friday series I’m sharing a few pictures from our shopping spree and highlighting some fun events that kick off the holiday season!
Sunday will see Mr & Mrs Claus rolling into town so ensure the kids are bundled up and bring plenty of snacks and treats to keep them entertained. Since we live downtown I prefer to stroll by to a restaurant and watch the parade from there. That way we’ll get a good view and don’t need to battle the crowds. This year I think I’m going to head over to Daisho and enjoy a drink while we try to spot Mrs. Claus on the Canadian Tire float and see the gorgeous MyCANVAS collection.
Be sure to check out Ice Wine & Dine next Saturday (Nov 21) between 4 and 10 p.m.! The tiny Elm St. will be bustling with food vendors ( Get the Pulled Pork Sandwhich from Barbarians!) and there’s going to be plenty of entertainment for adults and kids. It’s a small street but it has always been stroller friendly and the kids love the dance party that happens later into the night.
Also don’t forget that the Eaton Centre Santa bookings are now open!! For the last few years we have visited the Eaton Centre Santa with the kids to get our holiday pictures and this year there is a small $10 fee (per child including two adults) with the proceeds going to charity. A great way to support Autism Speaks, Covenant House and Women’s College Hospital Foundation. This year there’s the Classic Santa and a Sensitive Santa program designed for individuals with autism and their family members.
Are you ready to kick off the holiday season?
Happy Friday!!!
