Swiftmas arrives in Toronto to lead the way this holiday season and we’ve got some ideas to help you plan a Taylor Swift Toronto weekend. So pack those bracelets and sequin dresses, even if you didn’t snag some of those treasured Toronto Eras tour tickets, because there’s plenty of ways to celebrate TS as you explore Toronto with your tween. Toronto is so excited to welcome Swifties that the city is designating the path between Nathan Phillips Square and the arena as “Taylor Swift Way” for the month of November. We’re even giving the Rogers Centre a new address for the month-  “1 Taylor Swift Way”. Alright you brave folks descending upon Toronto with a Swiftie tween in tow – shake it off and have a blast!

Welcome to TAYronto y’all!

Fun Activities for Swiftie Tweens in Toronto

Taylor Swift Toronto with a tween

If you’re entertaining a tween then this Toronto Taylor’s Version should suit your Swiftie’s needs. I certainly believe these Taylor Swift themed experiences will put a smile on your grumpy tween’s face.

  • It’s definitely time to get Red-y! Start your Toronto Swiftie vacation by heading to Lip Lab and designing a red lipstick with your tween.
  • Get glammed up  at the Glama Gal studio in Ajax (this is NOT in the downtown Toronto area). Tweens can enjoy a mocktail, an ERAS themed manicure, glam make up, bejewelled hair, decorate  your own t-shirt and make a friendship bracelet for $85.
  • Design your own fancy bracelets at  Spark Studio. This is for an upscale bonding experience and not one of those swapping sessions, okay?
  • Duet like a Taylor Collab by booking a private Karaoke room at Bar + Karaoke (all ages until 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays when it’s 19+).
  • Decode the Easter Eggs at this Swiftie Escape Room in Toronto – Can You Crack the Swift Code?
  • Slay like Tay and pick up some finishing touches for your era-inspired look by shopping for sequins, boas and more in Kensington Market or Queen West.
  • Head to record stores like Sonic Boom or Rotate This to find Taylor’s albums on vinyl-either for decorating your tween’s room or for pure listening pleasure!

BONUS :  Keep an eye out for the bidding process that will take place at the end of Taylor mania in Toronto. Remember those special  city signs I mentioned? Not only is Rogers paying for all of the temporary renaming of the signs, but they will also auctioned off the signs and the money will be donated to Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank. Maybe bid  on a sign? It’ll be a great Christmas gift!

Where to stay during the Toronto Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift Toronto Tips

By now you already know that the hotel prices in Toronto are ridonculous during the month of November. Like crazy insane-Expedia.ca says room nights went up by 8 THOUSAND %! That said, I’ve heard from many hotel contacts that the hotels aren’t sold out and they’re hoping people will book rooms closer to date. You definitely want to stay close by to the Rogers Centre or within walking distance to a subway station because traffic will be insane as usual. The most “Taylor” hotel is the One Michelin Key Bisha where their Taylor suite will feature visuals from her albums, custom friendship bracelets, a curated Taylor playlist and a bottle of Prosecco. Apparently all seven floors will be Eras inspired as the tour date approaches. When I did a quick search it was $5000+ per night for the Taylor Suite.

The Chelsea Hotel is a 20 minute walk from the Rogers Centre and is offering a discount the earlier you book!

  • Book 7 – 30 days out get 15% off
  • Book 31 – 60 days out get 20% off

Sign up for their free Brilliant rewards program and it’s even cheaper (still intense though). I found rooms for just under $1000 per night.

Personally, I’d look at alternative options for this time. Call those Toronto friends and bunker down on their couch or check out a

HomeExchange (you can also read about our past home exchange experiences). Decorate the room with some disco balls, star confetti and fluffy pillows to create your own Taylor themed pop-room no matter where you stay! Here’s some ideas for inspiration!
