Dancing the Heat Away | Bobs & LoLo Album Giveaway

Bobs and LoLo giveawayThis weekend Little Monkey wasn’t feeling that great due to a bit of heat exhaustion from our roof top shenanigans on Friday afternoon. Our hot tub wasn’t turned on but the water was warm and Little Monkey and Baby Boy were having a great time as my girl friends and I sat around enjoying some drinks. That night Little Monkey did the unthinkable and went to bed at 7 p.m.! That was our first clue that something was off… she kept dozing on and off all weekend due to the heat exhaustion and we’ve been keeping her hydrated and engaged (despite wanting to enjoy the quite  time that came along with this episode!). She has been sleeping quite a bit but we did our best to keep her up for atleast 6 hours each day.

While she preferred to sit on the couch and watch tv all day long, we took her out for a walk and when at home Baby Boy keeps her moving and dancing! He’s one active kid who is ALWAYS on the move! Lately we’ve been listening to Bobs & LoLo’s new album Dirty Feet and the two of them have been happy to listen to the CD as they play with their toys or jump around the living room.  Read on because we’re giving away the Bobs & Lolo album to one lucky reader!

Disclosure: I am part of the Bobs & LoLo Campaign with Influence Central and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. As always, opinions are totally mine!

Bobs and LoLo Dirty FeetBobs & LoLo are dedicated to connecting kids to the natural world with music, movement and make-believe. Sharing musical stories that engage, inspire and educate, they teach kids to care about themselves, their neighbours and the planet. The duo are based in Vancouver and have a background in education and linguistics which has definitely carried through to their music and on stage performances. Their lyrics and songs are aimed at connecting preschool and elementary school-aged children to positive behaviors with a focus on active living, environmental conservation, literacy, healthy eating, teamwork and more. All good topics at our household! I think the kids like it mainly because they can easily identify with the words and animals. While music is really the hub’s department, I must admit that the tunes are really catchy and easy to sway to. Which means I don’t mind the songs being in the background whilst I’m cleaning and cooking after a full day at work. “Dirty Feet” and “Busy Bee” are the ones that are on repeat at our place and we’ve been listening to it for about two weeks and I’m not sick of it yet (impressive by my standards)!

Bobs & LoLo’s new album Dirty Feet is available for purchase at iTunes, at retail (HMV), and from the Bobs & LoLo webstore!  Bobs & LoLo are currently touring through North America so we’re hoping to catch them live at some point. We’re moving away from the Dora stage and Little Monkey is looking for other interactive and engaging acts that actually make sense. She’s slowing starting to realize that certain things are ” just silly! (because) You can’t do that as a human!!” I can’t really argue with that can I?
