Eat To The Beat 2015 #ETTB2015 Giveaway

ettb1I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… Eat To The Beat is one of my ALL TIME favourite events in the city and I’m so glad that we get to support the event again this year. The 20th annual Eat To The Beat takes place on October 27th at the Roy Thompson Hall and benefits Willow Breast & Hereditary Support, a not-for-profit organization that offers free peer support to anyone coping with breast cancer. Tickets are $175 (with a tax receipt) and include all food and beverages ….and guess what? We have two pairs of tickets to giveaway!! Eat To The Beat is the perfect date night outing for food lovers, so sign up those babysitters! Trust me your belly will thank you!

I love that Eat To The Beat features 60 female chefs who in turn are supporting women. Eat to the Beat has raised more than $3.7 million for Willow. In 2015 an estimated 25,000 women and 200 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Canada. From the individual diagnosed, to their family, friends and caregivers, Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support provides free support and information.

7M6xcGZ0Kmr23yKdV3JCIs8yZw3_9kNWLQjPj707jZ0The hubs and I consider Eat To The Beat to be one of the top culinary events in our city. Some of the very best female chefs come together to feed us delicious food and there’s always fabulous wines and drinks to accompany the bites. Without fail, I’m stuffed at the end of the evening and I love that the event is always well organized. There’s no shoving, pushing or line ups…and best of all, everything is done with class and sass. The event  features breast cancer survivors modelling original food-inspired corsets that they have created. This is one of my favourite parts of the events.. cute older ladies strutting their stuff for a good cause. Absolutely adorable. Be sure to read all about our previous experiences (this will be our 3rd year at the event!!) if you’re looking to learn more about the various dishes offered in the past and the funtabulous time we’ve had year after year.

Everything is included in the price of the ticket so all you have to do is dress up in your fancy outfits and come out for a delicious night. Chefs that have signed up include:  Sandra Abballe (Succulent Chocolates); Wanda Beaver (Wanda’s Pie in the Sky); Renée Bellefeuille (Art Gallery of Ontario); Arvinda Chauhan (Arvinda’s); Kyla Eaglesham (Madeleines Cherry Pie and Ice Cream); Alexandra Feswick (The Drake Hotel); Bonnie Gordon (Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts); Kimberly Humby (East & Main Bistro/Pomodoro); Anna Janes (Cocomira Confections); Leyla Kizilimak (Art Square Gallery and Café); Jacqueline Lo (Ruelo Patisserie); Kimberley Lugsdin (Catering by Kimberley); Joshna Maharaj (Ryerson University); Erin Marcus (Ace Bakery); Joan Monfaredi (Park Hyatt Toronto); Catherine O’Donnell (Willow Cakes and Pastries); Angela Panigas (The Sultan’s Tent & Café Moroc); Jennifer Perusini (BerBer Social); Karen Rachlin (Bite Catering); Emily Richards (Professional Home Economist); Dufflet Rosenberg (Dufflet Pastries); Trista Sheen (Crush Wine Bar); Lili Sullivan (Waupoos Winery); Karen Viva-Haynes (Viva Tastings);  Vanessa Yeung (Aphrodite Cooks); click here for the full list!
