Fashion Friday |TIFF’s Festival Street

Toronto is a buzz with all the TIFF activities and while we used to be heavily involved in the frenzy of it all, we now rarely attend any of the screenings or the parties. Last year we surprisingly got to none! We’re hoping to right that wrong this year and grab some last minute tickets if we find some willing sitters. That said, last year we hit up Festival Street and it was fun for all. Yesterday Baby Boy and I roamed down King Street as they were setting up but we are yet to see the finished street (and it looks awesome on Twitter!). Festival Street ( which happens this weekend only!) includes a range of interactive installations and activities, onstage presentations, musical showcases, pop-up shops, a village of food trucks and a family-friendly zone. The Slaight family zone takes place this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m to 6 p.m and will include painting, dancing, magicians, and bubbles! Kids of all ages can engage in all kinds of creative, family-friendly activities — and yes, there will be seating for parents to kick their feet up! I hear there’s story telling, a HUGE colouring book, cartoonists and even a piano to bang on! Be sure to check it out!!

Happy 40th TIFF!!

It really is!! That said, the people who do the tough TIFF circuits may not want another TIFF happening within the same year! LOL.
