Do you remember this post about those Hello Kitty shoes we bought on a whim? Well fast forward two years and those shoes were STINKY after getting wet in the rain. Little Monkey surprised us by throwing it in the trash about three months ago when her grandmother gave her the suggestion. That moment we promised her that she’d get a new pair for Christmas. So that was her ONE request for Santa.
Guess what? I couldn’t find them anywhere in her size! I looked high and low and short of paying $40 to get it from someone on e-bay I had no luck. Then my dad came to our rescue with another pair of sparkly Hello Kitty shoes! I’ve been ordering our diapers, sippy cups and all sorts of baby items from Walmart since they offer free and insanely FAST delivery but I never connected the dots until I saw the pictures below… Walmart has a whole bunch of Hello Kitty stuff that either grandparents or friends have purchased!! Crises averted Little Monkey now has a new pair of shoes to wear for the next two years since my dad got the wrong size. DOH!

Speaking of Walmart and babies… guess what folks? Walmart launched their own Baby Registry and it will be available online as well. Given the range of items they carry, I can see many parents enjoying this new service. To celebrate this launch in Canada they’re hosting a Baby Shower where you can chat with parenting expert Alyson Schafer.
From 11:15 to 2 p.m the Square One Walmart will be hosting a Baby Shower and you’re all invited. There will be giveaways and refreshments available while quantities last. I plan to be at the Mississauga location tomorrow and I hope to see a few of you out there!
