Mucho Burrito Giveaway!

Mucho Burrito. tex mexThe hubs and I have had a love affair with Mexican food for as long as we can remember and luckily for us the Little Monkey seems to be a fan too! When it came  to pregnancy cravings I had none the first time around but with Baby Boy I’d CRAVE a burrito quite frequently and I was very glad that we had a Mucho Burrito across the street from us. Burritos are one of those things that I simply cannot make at home – just doesn’t feel right! In our college days we loved a late night burrito joint that would have line ups out the door at 2 a.m. but that relationship fizzled away once I met Mucho Burrito. Mind you I met Mucho Burrito well before my professional relationship with them began…so I’m thrilled to share the opportunity for two lucky readers to each win a $25 gift card!

Disclaimer : I do have a professional relationship with the Mucho Burrito brand but the opinions are, as always, completely my own! No payment has been received for this post except for the gift cards for the winners.

Mucho Burrito , mexican foodI first heard about Mucho Burrito during their Ghost Pepper launch two years ago- what’s that you ask? HAH! A CRAZY SPICY burrito that only the crazies would love. Clearly I’m Mucho crazy! It’s by far the spiciest thing I enjoy. Sadly it’s a limited time offer and I wait anxiously until it’s that time of year again. There’s definitely an authentic tex-mex taste to their line up and having been privy to the behind the scenes workings it all makes sense! Ingredients are extremely fresh and cut up numerous times a day and while you do have to pay extra for the guacamole… it’s worth it. What’s a burrito without guac eh? The Little Monkey isn’t a fan of guac much to my dismay ( great way to sneak in some healthy fats!) but she loves her burritos and it’s a great way for me to sneak in the guac and veggies. She’s known to have finished half of my Mucho sized Burrito. Luckily they have a very good kids menu which features mini burritos, tacos and quesadillas. No more sharing! Also things are made quickly, at least at my regular joint, so even with a tired kid I can get the food quickly!

I was shocked that their soup was SO good! Like bowl lickin good. An easy go-to during the cold winter months. The warm Churros are another one of my faves, especially since  they’re made ONLY once you place an order. Piping hot Churros with Dulce de Leche sauce, who can say no to that? I’ve been told the sauce is amazing on toast – but it never lasts past the churros with me. Double dip? HAH …more like quadruple dip here!

When it comes to the fillings I oscillate between the Barbacoa and the Carnitas which are slow cooked over 8 hours to create some succulently tender meats. There’s no denying that when it come to Mucho Burrito there’s plenty of meat mixed in with fresh veggies. The hubs loves the customization because unlike me he’s picky on what veggies he gets and as always NO CHEESE for him. Me? I take it ALL! I love their cilantro rice especially – I could easily eat a bowl full of it.

Writing this post has me hungry for some good ol’ Mexican!
