A couple weeks ago we were invited to a media brunch to celebrate the launch of Tooth Tunes and Tooth Tunes Jr. at the Gladstone. As you know it’s one of our favourite brunch spots so the hubs, the Little Monkey and I gladly attended one sunny Sunday. The event hosted by Arm and Hammer and Adamo Ruggiero (don’t worry I didn’t know who he was either…), from YTV’s Next Star. Adam did a swell job keeping kids of all ages entertained and ensured that everyone was having a great time.
As the pictures display, the Little Monkey had a blast and best of al,l I was dancing along (no judging). There were some great tunes! I was truly amazed by the impromptu Karaoke sessions that the kids in attendance put on for us. There’s quite some talent out there. Budding stars of future Canadian Idol episodes, no doubt!
The main highlight was ofcourse Tooth Tunes, which are the only toothbrushes with “Music in your mouth” technology. I know I’ve been struggling to get the 18 month old to brush her teeth (watch out for Wednesday’s post when I’ll share a brilliant
trick that works for me!!) so I definitely appreciate any innovation that comes along to help parents keep rotting teeth at bay. These toothbrushes play tunes (for 2 minutes) in your
mouth as you start brushing, which needless to say, makes it fun and kids are bound to want to spend that extra time brushing away. Again I’m not up to speed with my pop culture and so while I had NO IDEA who One Direction was, plenty of young girls were pining away to win a pair to tickets to see One Direction in concert this July and as luck would have it… guess who won that ticket giveaway?

May 7, 2013 at 8:04 pmI am the biggest fan ever. They are my role models and I love them to pieces. There music is catchy and they never make someone feel bad. My parents and family and friends find that I am way too obsessed but they make my day every single day. I can’t go one day without listning to One Direction. When I am in school and if my teacher is talking about a math problem and she say’s direction I think and thin and quietly say One Direction. I know may people are big fans but I would do any thing to win tickets because they are amazing singers and i look up to them. If you cam to my room I have posters, stickers, backpacks, clothes and more. I think they have a very insperational story and I really love them. I also have all the limited additions of their cds on my ipad and just to listen on the radio. When we went on a road trip for over 30 hours there and back I listned to only One Direction and I listned to their both albums about 9 times. My brother thinks I am carzy.
To sum up my thoughts, I would really love the oppertunity to see them in a concert. I would really apprechiate this. They all are super talented and they really inspire me. Thanks for having this contest and I hope to win so my dream can come true. My favourites are Zayn and Niall

May 9, 2013 at 4:49 pmI really dream about them day and night I know this might sound wired but I love them to pieces if I ever saw any pictures or posters with Zayn and Niall I will not stop blushing. Everyone wants to see them I get that but they are my role models and I just would love to one day meet them in concert as said above my parents told me it was way to expensive and to be honest with you my friends are creeped out by me. Most of the people in my class hate them but I ask why they are talented cute and very inspirational trust me they will be remembered like the Beatles. We live in a small town and nothing that exiting happens around here and it would not only mean the world to me but I can say to my kids one day I got to meet my role models who are everything to me. Each night I either go to bed with a One Direction song or my head or dream about them or read every book about them, by this time I basically know everything about them. I know many people are going to enter this contest but I would really really really really really really really really really x 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times like to meet my idols. At first I never thought that I would be this obsessed by a band or people before but my cousin introduced me to them and ever since then I have been really obsessed!!!!!

I’m a HUGE one direction. Ever since one of my friends told be about them in 2011 I was completely hooked. Their songs take me through every challenge I encounter. Without their music I wouldn’t be in the great place I’m currently in. I feel like I owe them everything! If I was able to get tickets it would probably be the highlight of anything that’s happened in my life thus far. When they went on sale originally I was out of the country and they sold out before I could get my hands on any and I’ve been scrambling ever since to try and get my hands on a pair.

She’s so sad that she won’t be going to the concert but I told her that we can try to re-create their concert at home. She wasn’t very pleased with me. While I know that telling you my story won’t help my chances at all- I think I’d like to. I’ve been a fan of one direction since the x-factor days and boy have they come far. But let’s rewind a little bit. When I was six years old I lost my father. Since then it has been just my mother and I. She struggles everyday to support us and I know she does- but I’m forever grateful anyways. I didn’t even ask for the concert tickets to go see one direction because I knew that it would be to much for her to handle. I didn’t want her to feel bad- as she always does because she can’t afford to get me little things (or big -as they are in my mind) like this. Now I am fourteen years old and it’s still just my mother and I. I know that she does her best, but this has been something that I have been secretly praying for every night. Now I’ve stumbled across your contest. I don’t know if it’s closed and I really hope it’s not. One direction posters line my walls and their music is constantly playing. I actually swear that my ipod loves one direction, everytime I put it on shuffle it automatically defaults to 1D! Now, I’ve never seen one direction live. Just the thought of being in the same room as them gives me chills. It would truly be a dream come true. So, thank you for this chance and have fun in Ireland! 🙂

I absolutely love One Direction and would love to be able to see them live. I have been a fan since 2011 and I literally cannot go a day without thinking about these boys! I’ve been driving my parents craaaaazy as well, if i hear about them, see them somewhere or anything I cannot contain myself. Through these past years, I’ve realized I have devoted so much of my time and life for this band. I honestly don’t know how I got to liking them, I usually am not a big fan of boybands. But One Direction is different, I instantly loved them as soon as hearing their songs and watching their interviews and their videos. I guess it’s something about the way they act; they are carefree and seem like the best and most fun to be around. They are also so different and unique on their own as people. I remember the first night I found out about them, I literally went through all their x-factor performances, video diaries etc. Some people say I am not as much of a fan as others because I found out about them after they were on the x-factor, but to me it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been apart of this expereince, its how much you love the band that counts. I also remember staying up late to watch award shows and seeing how far they’ve come from being on the x-factor to being a huge boyband, and it is absolutely incredible. They themselves as people and their music have gotten me through so much in my life. I have about 1000 photos of them just on my phone too, and I remember staying up until past midnight just to preorder their albums! I currently run a One Direction twitter fan account with my best friend, who is also a Directioner like me and we never stop talking about them even to this day. We have tried entering so many contests for these tickets in the past, from radio stations, to fan art contests; it never worked out. I remember spending about a week drawing and creating huge fan art posters to try to win a contest. Me and my friend usually both enter contests together, but this time I thought I would just give it a shot myself. Her birthday is coming up in a few days and it would be the best gift in the world if I could surprise her with these tickets. She and I would be in tears, literally. Everybody always labels us as “crazy fans” but really, we are just so passionate about them. Everything about them is amazing and they are truly inspirational to us. Personally, they inspire me to go for and be anything I want to be. I am so thankful that you are running this ticket giveaway, and hope that I stand a chance! Seeing them live will be the best experience of my life, and I can kind of see myself a few years down the road thinking back on how fun this was and reflecting back on how these boys truly changed my life for the better.
