Who loves wings? We do! You might remember this post when we went in search of the best wings in Toronto. Last year we were travelling during the first Toronto Wing Festival but this year not only are we in town but Baby & Life is also a media sponsor. On May 10th ten wing contenders are coming together to provide over 2000 pounds of wings! That’s a lot of wings… based on a recent St. Louis order we got 38 wings when we ordered 5 pounds. Do the math and that’s atleast 15,200 wings!
The event sold out less than 3 hours after tickets went on sale, so needless to say it’s going to be a packed affair at 99 Sudbury. Whilst they’re working on getting more tickets for sale you can join in on the Wing Crawl challenge to win tickets to the Wing Festival. If you visit atleast 5 spots and tweet a picture of you enjoying the Wingtestants’ wings with the hashtag #WingCrawl to @TOWingFestival (You must include the Wingtestants’ logo with your picture) you will earn ballots to win a pair of tickets to the sold out event. Visit all 10 Wingtestants and you get 10 ballots! All tweets need to be in by May 3rd and winners will be announced via twitter. What are you waiting for? Head on over to one of the following spots : Hard Rock Cafe (last year’s winner!), The Pour House, Real Sports Bar and Grill, Whistler’s, Tilted Kilt, The Office Pub, Hooters, Right Wing Sports Pub, Hey Meatball, Drums and Flats.
I’m not going to lie, I’m seeing some surprising candidates up amongst the Wingtestants and definitely a bit dismayed that the likes of St. Louis or Duffs aren’t in the line up but totally ready to explore, learn and discover some new wing gems. I’m excited for an evening of all you can eat wings with plenty of live music, emceed by Author and TV Host Bob Blumer. and All net proceeds from the event support The Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline’s community and international charitable activities.Eating for a good cause? You know I’m all over that!
