Brewers Plate Toronto | Giveaway

There’s a fabulous event happening next week that I simply must share! Brewers Plate Toronto is a highly anticipated event in the intimate craft beer lovers’ circle and this year’s event takes place on June 4th at the CBC Atrium. This delicious annual charity event, in its 7th year, brings together some of Ontario’s top chefs and craft brewers in a celebration of local and sustainable food and drink. Guess what? One lucky reader will win a pair of tickets…you’ll even get to see me at the event! Talking about a winning situation!

Tickets are priced at $125 and net proceeds will be in benefit of the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation. This non-profit grant-making organization works to help keep farmers successful, strengthen local economies, and protect and grow natural features. Did you know that at more than 1.8 million acres, the Ontario Greenbelt is the world’s largest permanently protected greenbelt, keeping our farmlands, forests, wetlands safe and sustainable? Absolutely fitting that they’d be involved in the Brewers Plate! 

Now let’s get to the delicious part! Some of Ontario’s top chefs will be participating at the event along side some awesome breweries. Chefs from popular hot spots such as the Gladstone, Fonda Lola, La Palette, Cava and Ruby Watchco, to name a few. As for Ontario Craft Breweries… trusty faves such as Sawdust City, Great Lakes, Camerons, Amsterdam, Mill Street and Spearhead will be in attendance. However I’m more curious to explore those I’ve never had an opportunity to sample from before; HogsBack, Descendants, Neustadt and MacKinnon. With over 20 breweries representing, there’s going to be no shortage of beers to explore. That’s for sure! 

It’s not just the food and drink on offer but there’s also going to be artisan food vendors will be sharing everything from chocolate to cheese. Just in case you weren’t full as it were! There’s also going to be live entertainment from various minstrels and stiltwalkers to saxophonists and vocalists. There’s even talk of dancing! Perfect for a date night isn’t it?
