This weekend not only marks my last one before I turn 35 but it’s also Buskerfest weekend!! In its 16th year Buskerfest Toronto brings over 170 street performers from all over the world and they take over Yonge street from Queen to College. Expect the unexpected from noon to 11 p.m. ( ends at 8 p.m. on Sunday though!) and get ready for some family friendly fun (there’s a kids zone this year!). Buskerfest kicked off yesterday and we’ve been exploring the street so I thought we’d share some pictures of our favourite chanced encounters with a mermaid (Little Monkey LOVED that magical experience), Porter airlines (try winning a pair of tickets to anywhere they fly!) and the bouncy castle ( she was peddling to the bank to get money for the tickets!). Remember that Buskerfest is in aid of Epilepsy Toronto, so do get out and give generously to the charity and the buskers who are volunteering at this free festival.
