The Chocolate Sunday Gift Basket Giveaway

Just that title must have you curious right? The Chocolate Sunday is a true celebration of hope! On Sunday October 26th, the Hilton Markham Suites Conference Center and Spa will be home to CIBC’s Celebration of Hope luncheon in benefit of the Markham Stouffville Hospital’s Breast Health Centre and Chemotherapy Clinic. I know I usually write about Toronto centric events (Have you entered our Eat to the Beat contest in benefit of Breast Cancer support?) but this event in Markham really spoke to me on many levels and I while I may not be able to attend this myself, I hope some of you may! This stylishly fun event is open to all ages but I personally think it would make for a funtabulous ladies day out! We’ve also got a Chocolate Basket worth $100 from the Old Firehall Confectionery for one lucky reader!

The Chocolate Sunday is going to be filled with delicious and decadent surprises! Now in its 26th year, this esteemed event brings together the community to celebrate, educate and bring awareness about cancer and the people it affects. Tickets are priced at $125 and the event goes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a sit down three-course luncheon from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. Of course there’s a chocolate cocktail involved! Now mind you, you can go and shop, sample chocolates and have a grand time in benefit of the Markham Stouffville Hospital for FREE. It’s the luncheon portion that costs $125. The ticket also grants you access to plenty of freebies so this is quite a fun outing on  top of the charitable contribution you would be making.

There’s over 50 boutiques to shop from and some fabulous silent auctions. Christmas shopping anyone? Early bird snatches the best pressies! I’ve heard whispers that ticket holders will be walking away with quite the swag! There’s even a cool auction of TA TA Bras autographed by the likes of Jeanne Beker, Erin Davis, Brian Bailey, Kevin Frankish, Wendel Clark, Nancy and Johnny Bower and Luba and Darryl Sittler. I told you.. there’s some unique ideas for gifts here!

Now if you’re a closet Young and the Restless fan this is your chance folks! There’s a Meet and Greet with Christian LeBlanc/Michael Baldwin and autographed pictures are guaranteed for the first 350 people. Swoon away. Haven’t watched R&R (honestly I haven’t) then there’s fashion shows featuring Canadian designers and live Motown entertainment to feast your eyes on. Did I mention there’s chocolate?
