This morning we took the kids to watch a preview of Shaun The Sheep Movie which hits theaters on August 5th. It was an ‘early’ start to our day as we were there at 9:30 a.m. for breakfast which was followed by the movie. Both kids settled in nicely and were near perfect until the half way mark at which point things went downhill. Little Monkey said she was bored, started whining and eventually the hubs marched her out for a quick time out. Baby Boy decided he wanted to stand up and was done eating and drinking and kept squealing and making sounds. Luckily there were only a handful of families in attendance and there were slightly older kids behind us who were talking throughout the movie. PHEW! Shaun the Sheep is a British stop-motion animated television series, a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise and is now a movie. I love British shows and cartoons but must admit that this one might appeal to the 6-10 year olds more than younger kids. Little Monkey loved Inside Out but the lack of words (all communication between characters happen through expressions and noises) didn’t sit well with her. The kids behind us were totally loving the movie and it was cute listening to them predict what was going to happen. Baby Boy was mumbling at the characters in his own language and definitely seems to have enjoyed it more than the older one and so today’s fashion post features his outfit.
I have my old college-mates in town so it’s going to be one filled with merriment and doing some touristy stuff!
