Fashion Friday | Street Style

Last weekend I invited Little Monkey to join me on a beauty run to get threaded and below is the get up she wore for our TTC journey to Little India. Fashionista indeed! This weekend is the 16th annual Doors Open offering free and rare access to more than 155 architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings across the city. Each year we get out to a couple spots and this year with two toddlers in tow these are our top spots!

TTC Greenwood Complex
The central service yard for the Bloor-Danforth subway turns 50 this year and to celebrate, this Saturday, the TTC is offering us the chance to explore the various workshops that make up the complex. Not only can you ride through the special train washing machine but there’s also a children’s activity area and a BBQ as part of the offerings.

The National Club
Okay this is really for us more than the kids but this weekend the private members-only club, established in 1874, invites the public to look around the clubhouse, see the rooftop patio, and wine cellar…you know how much I love snooping spots like these!

Waterfront BIA: Gangways Open on Toronto’s Waterfront
From 12pm until 5pm, visitors can walk the gangway to search the nooks and crannies of the port, bow, starboard and stern. Visitors can learn the history and secrets of each ship, meet the Captain, and discover everything there is to know about the world on the water, all on a guided tour – offered subject to availability. Visitors can participate in a free boat ride with HCSP or slide and bounce the day away in HTO Park East on an inflatable Pirate ship!

The Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids)
Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a health science researcher and participate in science activities that will provide a head to toe understanding of how bodies work. Fun and learning for kids of all ages!

Little girls are so much fun! My daughter comes up with the craziest outfits sometimes! She has her own sense of fashion.

My daughters always want to be “dancy”. This means that they need to wear some sort of fluffy skirt at all times.
That hat is perfect. May I ask where it’s from?

My parents got it from Target during those blowout sales of theirs. Don’t think it would help you much now, will it? Sorry!
