Samba Days Anniversary Adventures

As you know I love gifting experiences and it just dawned on me that our FIVE year wedding anniversary is approaching! Five years.. yup. That’s a good solid number, worthy of a celebration don’t you think? I must admit that I am guilty of spending hours over the perfect gift to get… not only for the hubs but for our friends as well. I’m that girl who ends up choosing the wedding gift a year after the actual wedding! Trust me… many a friend will attest that they’ve received gifts from us at their one year anniversary because it takes me way too long to get my act together and find that perfect experience to gift. Researching gifts for a friend of ours I stumbled upon Samba Days. Looks like these guys might be taking the pressure off of me and friends MAY just be getting presents on time!

Samba Days is all about creating memories and catering to that unique personality. That’s TOTALLY my goal when I choose gifts. They have over 500 experiences across Canada and cater to different lifestyles; Which means foodies, adventurists and travelers can all be satisfied. A range of activities can be found from Whale Watching to having a personal chef cater to your every foodie desire. All you have to do is pick a theme (or gift certificate) and pay through the online portal. That’s really it. Samba Days will mail the experience box which includes a guidebook and a pre-paid card to the lucky recipient. They in turn will get to choose the specific experience and activate the card before booking their experience with the supplier.

I like this process for various reasons. First and foremost as the giftee I get to choose which theme I’d like to offer them and make all payments online. I’ve reviewed each and every experience and they all look like they’re premium experiences – no dodgy stuff here!  Next up, the recipients actually receive a physical gift (who doesn’t love opening presents?) and then has the flexibility to choose the specific experience that suits their mood and schedule. There’s a bit of structure but a whole lot of flexibility which makes this the perfect way to gift! The only catch I could find on the site is that the gift card expires a year after purchase – so that’s definitely something you’d want to highlight to the recipient, especially if you purchase the gift much before the actual day they receive it.

With Father’s Day and wedding season approaching, check out Samba Days. Who knows? You just may become the world’s best gift giver!
