Toronto’s Premium Beer Experience 2012 – Ticket Giveaway

Beer lovers of Toronto are on quite a high recently. Not only is the LCBO bringing in a decent selection of craft beers but there’s been quite the surgence on beer events. Quality ones. I’m not talking about Bud sponsored pop ups around the town. Beer Week (what you haven’t heard  of it? Go away. Stop reading now!) starts on September 14th and goes on till the 21st. There’s quite a few events taking place all over the city, from meal pairings  to pub crawls and intimate dinners with brew masters, so checkout their website for more deets.

The Premium Beer ExperienceTo kick off this auspicious week the anticipated Premium Beer Experience takes place on September 13th at the Berkeley Church (very cool venue for this! I love it!) from 6 p.m  to 11  p.m. and will benefit The Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund. Last years event was a huge success and tickets sold out before the event. This year will be no different and you can expect to find unique brews crafted just for us Premium Beer Experience goers and yes there will be food made with beer  as well. Beer cocktails? Check! Online tickets are $17 or $25 at the door depending on availability. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that most 4 oz. samples will only cost 1 (ONE!!) drink/food ticket. Food will range from 2-4 drink/food tickets. Oh ya.. drink and food tickets cost $1 each. Very reasonable compared to some other events Ive attended. Add in the fact that you may never get to taste some of these brews EVER again and it’s like hitting the jackpot. This maternity leave mom can afford to sample quite a few brews! Watch out. If you decide to bring along a non beer lover, no worries, Ravine Vineyard and Lighthall Vineyard will also be available.

My beer club purchased tickets for a night of learning, tasting and over sharing when the lovely peeps at Living Social put out a deal. Little did I know that I would also be invited to attend the beerlicious event. What does this mean? I have a pair of tickets to give away! Sharing is caring right?

Here’s a sneak peak  of what some breweries are bringing in  for us! I’m so excited to see a lot of Porters. I discovered my love for Porter  (especially Porter Milkshakes on my recent trip to Austin).  I’ve highlight some of the ones I know I’m gonna love! Luckily for  the hubs there’s a lot of IPAs on offer too.  I’d also like to give a big nod to the Sawdust Brewing Company for their creative beer names! The list below is not a comprehensive list, there’s over 14 breweries in attendance so be sure to check out the main website for more details!
