A Season to Get and A Season to Give #YouGetWeGive

We all know that the holiday season provides us with an excuse to link up with old friends and hangout with family. It gives us an excuse to indulge in shopping, satisfy those decadent food cravings and dig deep into our pockets to put a smile on the faces of loved ones. As I am quick to remind my kids, it is also a season to give. Putting things on their Christmas wish list means also taking the time to give back, to someone in need and lend a helping hand. T’is the season to give as much as it is to get. That is why I was recently pleased to hear about a credit card promotion by our friends at RateSupermarket.ca.

Disclosure : This post is in partnership with RateSupermarket.ca but, as always, opinions are TOTALLY ours!

As some of you may know, at RateSupermarket.ca you can view a vast array of financial services in one place, letting you compare options with ease in order to find a product that best matches your financial needs, including a mortgage, a credit card, a bank account, a savings account, a GIC, and an insurance quote. You can see through hidden fees, understand the interest payments, and compare savings. Whether your goal is to maximize rewards points, get the most comprehensive coverage, or save as much money as possible, ratesupermarket.ca is the site that will help you achieve your goal while also saving you time.

With it being the holiday season, I know our family is certainly putting a lot more on our credit card than usual. As you know, we’re big fans of the World Elite Mastercard®. This year RateSupermarket.ca and PC Financial® have teamed up to help us all give back while we receive. If you shop at grocery stores where President’s Choice® groceries are sold, you definitely want to consider the President’s Choice Financial® Mastercard®. Not only does the card have no annual fee but it will give you points for points for every $1 spent at participating grocery stores, plus bonus points at Esso stations and for purchases made through PC Travel (yes!!! they have a travel section!!).

You Get, RateSupermarket.ca Gives

Now for the giving part. For a limited time, when you apply through RateSupermarket.ca and activate your President’s Choice Financial® Mastercard®, you’ll get a $100 e-gift card, and RateSupermarket.ca will donate $25 to President’s Choice® Children’s Charity.

Isn’t that a great deal? You can choose a gift card from Cineplex, Starbucks, iTunes and a range of great restaurants, which are all great gift giving ideas too.

President’s Choice® Children’s Charity is a great organization, and it is committed to the health and wellness of young Canadians. The team aims to help children who are affected by physical or developmental disabilities and also fights childhood hunger through the support of nutrition programs. The have recently committed $150 million over the next decade to tackle childhood hunger and provide important nutrition education to Canadian children, which is a cause my family can get behind!

From December 13th until December 31st, 2017, when you apply through RateSupermarket.ca and activate your card within 90 days, Ratesupermarket.ca will donate $25 to President’s Choice® Children’s Charity up to a total maximum of $10,000. The card comes with no annual fee and will help you earn points for things you already do, shop for food!! Best part is that you can accumulate points towards your next grocery run or you can use it for your next trip if you book through pctravel.ca! Total win in my books!

Why not get and give at the same time, right?
