Oh it’s summer and it has been summer for quite some time now…nothing screams summer like the hot weather we’ve been having in Toronto and there’s one sure way to keep cool! ICE CREAM and ICY Treats! While we love dining out and exposing our little foodie to culinary delights, there’s something to be said about treats made at home. I try to control her sugar intake (my sugar intake is a WHOLE other story .. I blame it on the pregnancy ;)) and yet enjoy watching her polish off a small bowl of ice cream or a snow cone.
Besides, do you know a great way to get some veggies into a toddler diet? Beet/Celery/Yam juice drizzled on snow cones! Or Carrot sorbets! Trust me.. brilliant way to sneak in some real goodness into a veggie haters diet! You may recall that last summer we loved the cute little baby themed ice cream makers…well this year the good folks at Hamilton Beach Canada have given a chance for two Baby & Life readers to win either a Icy Treats Maker or an Ice Cream Machine.
