Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls Fallsview

Hotel Niagara Falls with viewA couple weeks ago we spent a night in Niagara Falls during Cuvée 2015 and checked into the Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls Fallsview which is connected to the Fallsview Casino Resort. Our one night stay was part of the package that we had won and I was super excited for our first kid free night since last July when we snuck out during our 5th wedding anniversary.

We decided to park at the casino (much cheaper than the hotel’s parking ) where you pay one flat rate no matter how long you stay. It’s $5 most week days and $10 on weekends and so while it was $5 when we entered it was $10 when we actually left on Saturday. The Casino is connected through a walkway so we were indoors the whole time and made our way to the check-in area easily. Despite it being a kid free weekend I knew Little Monkey really wanted to see our hotel room and so we decided to bring the kids with us for the afternoon and my parents picked them up in the evening and took them for the weekend. Remember that there’s a special (shorter lines always!) check-in area for Hilton Honors members so sign up online if you aren’t a member. At check-in there was an ipad with a form and once that was filled out we got complimentary Wi-Fi! This is one large hotel with many separate towers, so pay attention to which tower your room is in (and don’t go up the nearest elevator like we did!).

Hilton hotel niagara falls reviewOur two bedroom deluxe suite was gorgeously spacious! How often do you hear that? It was only the  two of us but this room would have been perfect if we had the kids with us. There were two separate bedrooms with king beds in each (a rare feature) and the rooms were separated by a full bathroom which had a giant Jacuzzi tub and standing shower. There was also a kitchenette with a mini fridge and full sink.  The second bedroom not only had a pull out couch but a fireplace and from your bed you could see Niagara Falls. Yes all three were in your view as you stood by the window and the kids couldn’t get enough of the breathtaking scenery. The drapes and fabrics did remind me of the 1980s but that hint of nostalgia soon faded away because everything was meticulously clean and the kids had plenty of space to run around.

This Hilton Hotel has plenty of windows which give you quite a view of the surrounding Niagara area and so we got some very cool pictures as the kids explored the property. It’s no wonder that they’re one of Trip Advisor’s top 10 hotel room views (in the world)! I couldn’t stop clicking away the entire time I was there.

Some room packages come with complimentary breakfast and so we popped into the Grand Caffe for their breakfast buffet. It was busy and there was a line up which moved fairly quickly. However breakfast was fairly average, you do have the option to spend an extra $10 and brunch at the Watermark restaurant and next time that’s exactly what I plan to do. The hotel is connected to many fine dining establishments and lounges and on my next visit, that’s the part I hope to explore.

The resort has quite a few activities including the casino (ofcourse!) and an indoor slide pool. I peeked in at the pool but did not have time to take a dip- hopefully the water is warm! The hubs and I were here to relax and so we enjoyed the day and night views (I’m such a sucker for lightshows and Niagara Falls caters to every one of my cravings!), attended Cuvee 2015 which we shared with you last week and then lost some money at the casino (we were so impatient we played one round and bounced) before ending our night soaking in the Jacuzzi and enjoying a glass of wine.

parents travelIt was just one night and it was relaxing and delicious. We spend the next night back in Toronto where we went curling (also without the kids!). If you’re looking for a romantic escape this may be the perfect hotel as there’s plenty of nightlife options under one roof. The kids were quite comfy here but I think Little Monkey preferred her birthday stay at Sheraton on the Falls which was connected to the Fallsavenue indoor waterpark. That said the two bedroom suite at the Hilton was exactly the layout we look for when we travel with the toddlers, it allows them to have a nigh-time routine and we don’t need to hide under the covers sipping our wine!

I’ve stayed at this Hilton before with the kids. Great location and view!

Never been here before, I’m impressed. I want to go to Niagra for a few days this spring so I will keep this in mind. Thanks!
