My love affair with shoes has always been a good one but once I had kids I swapped my own heels for flip flops and while I rarely buy clothes for them (thanks to a mother in love who is a shopaholic) I do enjoy buying those cute little shoes. As soon as they were able to fit into size 1 shoes I got them into real footware and not just those socks that look like shoes! Both kids recently received a pair of TOMS from the new spring line and we’re rockin’ them hard.
I love that TOMS was born when the founder was travelling in Argentina (you know that Buenos Aires is on my list of top cities I’d move to in a heartbeat right?) and encountered kids in a village with no shoes. Every pair that’s purchased gets a NEW pair donated to a kid in need. I hear that over 10 million shoes have been donated across 60 countries since the 2006 launch. VERY COOL!
Baby Boy is all about pulling the shoes out but he looks quite hipster in his TOMS. The Little Monkey on the hand must find them super comfy because she’s running around biking in them, despite it being a bit too big (the size 8 is larger than her other size 8s). I bet Baby Boy might be rocking her red pair when he turns two because they look pretty sturdy, only time will tell though.
