We’re spending New Year’s Eve in Niagara on the Lake at my parent’s Bed & Breakfast….and there’s 6 kids here! Crazy but fun times! My parents are still in Sri Lanka but they’ve generously given us the keys to their place and so we figured we’d enjoy a chill New Year’s Eve with a few close friends.
I usually like to ensure that Little Monkey and Baby Boy are awake with us at midnight (remember the sparkler incident? Ooops!) but with all their friends around this year, I have a feeling that they’re going to be exhausted come 9 p.m. So I’m glad that once again Netflix is helping families celebrate New Year’s Eve with their 10 on demand countdowns for kids. This year’s countdowns are based on some of kids’ favorite shows: Word Party, Puffin Rock, Luna Petunia, Beat Bugs, All Hail King Julien, Skylanders Academy, Trollhunters, Project Mc2, Fuller House and Chasing Cameron. I anticipate a big dance party around 8 p.m. and hopefully us adults can ring in 2017 in style…sans kids. Ofcourse, while the hubs and I are night owls, our friends are not – fingers crossed that we can keep them awake with our Champagne and cocktails!
